Victorian Pocket Watch Chain 1890s Antique Large Silver Nickel Albert & T Bar

  
Superb Victorian Gentleman's large and highly impressive bright'Albo' silver fancy star'fetter' link Antique pocket watch chain/Albert with original big stamped T bar and original stamped faceted swivel dog clip. Similar to the pocket watch chain I have supplied to'Peaky Blinders'.

(Please excuse the reflections / dark shadows in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 29cm / 11 1/2 total length and weighs a heavy 28 grams. Bright chunky roller links which are interspersed with four very unusual chunky'pie crust' edge'fetter' links (each measures 9mm length x 1cm width x 4mm depth) which are beautifully engine turned around their circumference with little slightly raised star decorations - all have a lovely'fluid' feel to them and reflect the light beautifully. Reading & Co Ltd, Birmingham, 1886 - 1920 and has the trade name (again in a recessed cartouche); ALBO SILVER - which is their fancy registered name for silver nickel. Original beautifully faceted secure swivel dog clip to the other end which operates correctly and is again clearly stamped within an oblong shaped recessed cartouche; N.

Also has a short length of roller link chain just below the T bar with round link to end - so allowing the wearer to display a fob if desired. Excellent clean and bright condition with no wear or damage and just a few very tiny (micro) overall surface scratches (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age - looks to have had very little use, perhaps only high days and holidays.
