Starting out by saying that I know very little of pocket watches. This goes back at least 4 generations before me. From what I can gather from the serial number it was made in the early 1880's. I opened the back and lightly turned the key and she started ticking away. Amazing as it has been stored untouched for at minimum 50 years and probably much longer.I have no idea on how to set the time. The watch itself weighs over 5.4 troy ounces. It is big and heavy. It comes with keys & a watch chain. I didn't see any marks on the chain so I don't know what it is made of. Overall, it could use a polish and will need a new crystal as that is missing. The rest will have to be judged by the photos.
