This is a working late 1700s to early 1800s silver cases pocket watch with a Roman count winding key and silver chain. The watch is in a period box and looks amazing. No signature on the watch which is not unusual for a continental watch. Winds and ticks away but we have not tested it for time keeping.
The winding key alone is an interesting thing as it is silver and has an Owl on one side and a Roman head on the other. I presume its made as a Roman coin or is a Roman coin used to make a key either way an very interesting item by itself. The solid silver chain has silver marks to each link.Antique Silver French Fusee Verge Pocket Watch With Box Chain Key Wind. Key winding fusee verge escapement with box and key.
